Tucked away in the foothills of the Alpujarra Mountains, this retreat is perfect for anyone seeking to improve their movement. Led by expert coaches Rebeca Montero and Sharon Iacono, you'll explore the 5 essential rhythms of the body:

Breathwork:

Breathing is crucial for both mental and physical health, significantly influencing how you move and feel.

Movement:

Join daily functional movement classes and workshops with Rebeca and Sharon, using tools like elastic bands, partner work, and MFR balls to identify and correct imbalances.

Heart Rate (Joy):

Through movement practices, you’ll learn to regulate your heart rate and understand how heart health connects to emotions, movement, and mental well-being. A happy heart leads to a happy you!

Gut Health:

Explore the impact of nutritious foods on your overall well-being. Our retreat chef, Bongo, prepares fresh, locally sourced meals daily.

Mental Peace:

Learn how stress in the mind affects the body, and discover techniques to connect the brain's signals to promote calm and inner peace.

This retreat will help you become more aware of how to stimulate and connect your body’s rhythms, leading to a more sustainable, enjoyable, and holistic approach to health. Your coaches will support and encourage you every step of the way, helping you rediscover the natural functionality of your body.

DAILY ITINERARY :

  • 8am | Morning Movement Class with Sharon

  • 9:30am | Breakfast

  • 1pm | Light buffet-style lunch

  • 5pm | Mini Workshops with Rebeca

  • 7pm | Dinner

Movement sessions last 60–90 minutes. The rest of the day is free to relax by the pool, explore the village, or engage in optional activities (details below).

All activities listed below are included in the price of the retreat. If you want to book any additional activities : consultation with Birgit, massage, hikes, bike rides and hire, horse riding, etc this will be at an additional cost.

  • Forage & Feast - Guided Medicinal Herb Walk and Lunch | Learn about the plants of the Alpujarras and how they can not only enhance your diet, but can also be used in natural medicines and herbal balms. This will be led by local herbalist, Belen Tierra Amada

  • Spanish Guitar Recital with Jose Vilchez | Imagine an evening sitting under the stars listening to Classical Spanish Guitar while sipping on Sangria after a specially prepared Spanish themed dinner by our resident chef, Bongo? Sound good? Join us for this as part of our week long retreat.

  • Sound relaxation with Tibeten Singing bowls

    The vibrations of the bowl stimulate body cells to strengthen their self-healing powers. Individual areas of the body react differently to certain frequency spectra and vibration characteristics of a singing bowl.
    The basis for the design and manufacture of Peter Hess singing bowls is the ancient knowledge ofmanufacturing and material composition (copper and tin).
    A sound ritual of just a few minutes a day is enough to strengthen your own physical, mental and spiritual health in the long term. Enjoy and let the sound take you into deep relaxaion!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :

On the last evening, we’ll venture into Lanjaron to enjoy its bars and restaurants. No evening meal or practice on this day. Meals/drinks during these outings are not included in the retreat price.

Alcohol is not provided, but you're welcome to bring your own.

We offer a few open movement holidays per year, but private group bookings are also available. The property can host up to 13 guests in 7 ensuite bedrooms (a mix of twin and double rooms). Pricing is based on 2 people sharing a room. Private rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with prices listed below.

  • Looking for a more active holiday? We’ve partnered with Spanish Highs, a hiking business in Lanjaron that also offers climbing and trail running. These activities are popular and need to be booked well in advance due to high demand during this season.

  • For an extra thrill, we can also arrange mountain and road biking through Cycle Sierra Nevada, offering bike hire and guided routes for all abilities. Please note, the steep mountain climbs require a reasonable level of fitness. There is also a special hire discount of 5% and free bike set up when you book bike hire with us.

  • Prefer horse riding? Enjoy a scenic hack or lesson in the mountains with Sarah from Caballo Blanco, who has Spanish horses suitable for riders of all experience levels—a unique way to take in the breathtaking landscape.

  • If relaxation is what you're after, why not indulge in a Spa Package? The 4-star Balneario de Lanjaròn offers a range of thermal treatments using the famous mineral waters of Lanjaròn.

MOVE WELL YOGA - Sharon

Trained in yoga, FRC and massage, you can expect a wide variety of styles in my teaching. Always based around functional movement to maintain balance in body and mind.

ORGANIC EMBODIMENT - Rebeca

Rebeca Montero is totally fascinated with the human body as a connection of rhythms.  She was trained as a yoga teacher and sports massage therapist,  realising that was the beginning of a journey to help people connect with what we are naturally designed to be, move and achieve.  She also trained as a functional anatomy yoga teacher and other modalities of massages to be able to access the different body types in order to taylor the needs of each individual. She also incorporates healing with sound in her classes.

Her enthusiasm is a contagious energy that will make you  feel curious about what your body is capable of.

RICHARD - Bongo

Richard can adapt menus and dishes to cater for most types of diets and requests and always tries to source food from local suppliers where possible and his menus are seasonal and fresh.
